The client care team is all about you. They schedule your appointments, welcome you when you enter our building and can take care of all your questions or queries. Our client care team also includes our support coordinator. A support coordinator works with you to set your goals, works alongside you with service providers and helps your plan funds go further by identifying and connecting you with existing mainstream community resources.
Don’t forget, you can drop into our offices in James St at any time for a chat, a break or with a question or problem, and our friendly team will welcome you.
Originally from South Africa, I have recently had the opportunity to move to Esperance with my husband and two dogs, to start our next adventure. We love the more relaxed lifestyle, and we are so excited to make Esperance home.
I have been in the Tourism and Hospitality industry for the last 10 years. Straight after my studies I went into front office and administration in the accommodation sector, eventually working my way up into building my own reservations company. I have a passion for working with people and I hope to grow and learn with Realise Ability.
Everyone has been so welcoming and kind. I look forward to getting to know all our families and learning more about each of them!
Hello, I am Meredith Waters and I am very excited to be commencing a new role with Realise Ability. I am looking forward to meeting you all, and working out ways to help you effectively. A little bit about me…. I arrived in Esperance from Melbourne in 1999 with my husband and two very small children. I have 3 grown up children now, all living life to the full in different places around WA.
I love thinking creatively, and I bring this and the experience I have gathered while working in many different roles. I stared my work life as a Clerk of Courts in Victoria, and since arriving in Esperance, I have been a Service Manager with BOICO, an Area Chaplain with YouthCARE, a Clerk of Courts and Adult Corrections Corrections Officer with the Department of Justice, I have undertaken project work with Esperance Volunteer Resource Centre and Esperance Care Services, and I have been a Board Director with WA Country Health Services (WACHS) 2016-21. More recently I have been working with Wongutha CAPS, and I am the Manager at 103.9HopeFM Esperance Community Radio.
I really love being a part of our community, and trying to make a positive difference, one way I try to do this is with a few volunteer roles as a consumer rep on DHAC with Esperance Health Campus, a board member of Health Consumer Council, ESCARE and ECA, being involved in Esperance Death Café and Compassionate Community and, one of my most favourite roles – A Drum Circle Facilitator! I am looking forward to working with you… and seeing where we can make some noise and drum together.
I lived in Esperance for most of my childhood and have a great appreciation for the beautiful place we get to call home. I moved back to Esperance, with my husband and three kids, not long after the birth of our youngest child. I am so pleased that our kids have had the privilege of growing up in such a wonderful community. I love hanging out at the beach and camping, watching my kids play sports and occasionally playing too. I don’t love filling in the holes that our dog Lilly constantly digs, but she’s pretty cute so we’ll keep her!
I have spent many years working as a teacher. I love partnering with students, families and the community to help students experience the real-world applications of the things they are learning about at school. It gives me a great buzz to hear people talk about their passions, and to help them use that as a vehicle for their learning and growth.
I am a good listener and I consider it a real privilege to meet you in this a part of your journey. I look forward to hearing your story (so far!) and seeing you realise your goals as we continue the journey together.
