At Realise Ability we want to make sure that you achieve your goals. We use a best practice approach which involves play based therapy and we focus on functional skills so you can see the changes and progress everyday.
Our therapists provide written recommendations and a therapy plan which are then used by trained Therapy Assistants. Therapy assistants will carry out the plan outside of the clinic or create fun activities within the building. Therapy Assistants are covered by the Therapist and Clinic's insurance and are required to have regular formal supervision. Therapy Assistants have daily access, regular meetings and joint sessions with therapists to ensure the therapy plan is being followed and can be changed any time it needs to be.
Your plan can also be supported by your family, support workers, education assistants your teacher or anyone else in your support network.
These people can be upskilled by your therapists (please note this this not the same as the training therapy assistants receive).
Don’t forget, you can drop into our offices in James St at any time for a chat, a break or with a question or problem and our friendly team will welcome you.
We asked each of our Therapy Assistants a few questions about their favourite things and 'what do you prefer' questions. Their responses are to provide familiarity and insight into a Therapy Assistant if you are nervous before meeting them!
